Stephen grew up in Sweetwater, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio. He met his wife, Julie, on a blind date and after a two year courtship, they were married at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in San Antonio. After their wedding, Stephen and Julie moved to Corpus Christi where they attended All Saints Episcopal Church and welcomed their son, Ryan. After five years in Corpus Christi, Stephen made the decision to enter seminary and was accepted into the program at University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. While in seminary, Stephen and Julie welcomed their second child, Megan. After graduation, Stephen worked as Curate at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio. In 2012, Stephen accepted the position of rector at St. Francis Episcopal Church. When not tending to the needs of the church and congregation, Stephen enjoys developing his musical skills by playing in a local band.
